Cottees Iced Magic and Cake

One of my students is having a birthday tomorrow, I have a cake in the fridge and a couple of Iced Magic in the pantry. Would I be able to pour the Iced Magic over the cake as a topping ? If I did woudl it looke OK? I thought I might buy some strawberries on the way t o work, cut them in half and put them into the chocolate ... would all this work do you think ?

no reason why it wont.

I used some at Christmas time for the kids to decorate things with and it didn't unset once it had hardened.

Just a thought though, if you put the white one on top of the yellow one, it looks like bird poop when it hardens - just sayin

put it in the fridge?

dunno flashie, we just used it to drizzle over stuff like the croquembouches and we didn't put them in the fridge overnight

used it to stick the profiteroles to each other too to make the croques, so just little dots of it here and there

seemed to set ok

I just had a little look on Wikipedia......and it says it hardens when poured onto a cold surface...........so maybe a cold cake will be OK.

I have not bought any since the children were little.

Freeze the cake - take it out chuck on the IM and you're set (get it - set) to go

Thank you to all those that replied. I did give it a go and it does work ! An instant cake success story because I bought the plain cake in the first place . It was a simple easy way to whip up a quick one.
