Funny buyers

i am selling some stuff to have more space in the house.

i sell it cheap cos i want it gone.

i offer a lot for $100 buy it now or $50 bidding when it's worth about 150 or more dollars.

i got an offer of $80 (i didn't offer "best offer") rolls eyes.

hubby put something on ebay for $2000 or best offer. we got a $100 offer....**bleep**?

almost always when i list things with NO "best offer" i get offers.

or questions about things that are clearly on the picture...

yeah yeah i know, don't complain when you sell on ebay but sometimes i wonder what's wrong with people.

that guy who offered me $80 ...if i broke that lot up and sold the pieces individually i could make $200 or more.

i am getting a bit tired of those clowns so my last email was:

Thank you very much for your inquiries because it got me thinking about how much the lot is really worth. Like the ****** (around $40) so I put the price up 🙂 If it does not sell I will separate it and make much more money on it than selling it all together.

Yes,some buyers are really funny.......or maybe just dills.

I have seen an item put up for auction and the bidding went way over the BIN price on the same site.

i was thinking about that.

hubby sorta did and gets a $100 offer for a $2000 buy it now....uuhhmmm that is..errrhh 5% of the buy it now price.

hubby even took the time to reply to that.

we have a 4.9 rating on the stars and 100% cos we believe in honest descriptions and customer service.

we just want to get rid of it while cutting the losses of what we paid for it.

our prices are not unreasonable but rather cheap.

i have once seen a 20 dollar/euro/mark (can't remember) note selling for 25. and no it wasn't anything special, just an auction that made the rounds on the ebay boards cos it was funny .

the exposure on ebay is better and i can't auction on gum tree.

but yeah, maybe (if it doesn't sell and i can't be bothered to break it up)

Good luck, I don't know but for larger items and local buyers it is probably better for pick up items to list on gumtree.

yes, i guess i should have listed it on gumtree now when you say it. i think i let it run anyway and if someone buys it fine, if not i either put it on gumtree or break it up.

it is a whole lot, the fragile item i don't want to post is not much worth on itself.

if i break it up i can post most of the items and then sell the fragile bit for near nothing.

i have enough to do and don't really want to hassle around too much with making an auction for every single piece.
