Very dreary despite the bright splashes of colour.

Some of the previous uniforms were much more attractive if a bit old fashioned by todays standards.

In my opinion, it's not just the uniforms Qantas needs to change, it's management attitude towards the passengers and staff which needs to be heightened considerably.

I voted "Why change"

I like the new uniform but don't see how Qantas is in a position to waste money on new uniforms.

Like tasfleur says their first priority should be to their staff and management. I think the staff would prefer better pay and conditions to new uniforms.

Thanks for the pics OP.

Funny to look back on the old uniforms - they all suited the context of the period they were released but I used to hate the red/orange 'pumpkin-look' hats 😄

The new uniforms have an understated elegance which I like.

I love them, the height of elegance. The others look so dated and dreary.

Only thing is those trilby hats don't suit everyone..

Must have cost heaps though .

Better than what they had IMO. However these ones are a tad boring, too dark, nothing suggests Qantas.

Thanks to those that thanked me for posting the pics :-x It's not all political doom and gloom on the boards.

The article I grabbed the photos from referred to the trench coat as a bit "Inspector Gadget" ! I reckon they are pretty cool, but I did like the old orange short skirt one ... presumably from the Twiggy era ...

I agree Icy and it is great to see Australian wool-growers being represented again instead of the ghastly fabric used in the last uniforms.

Whilst the new design works on a skinny model like Kerr, it isn't going to suit all body types.

The beauty of the previous uniform designed by Morrisey is that all women could wear it and still look good. It was also instantly recognisable thanks to the indigenous motifs.

This could be any airlines uniform.

Boring.

Air Hostesses have to have the right body image anyway don't they Martini? I've never seen an obese hostie.

I really like the trench coat and trilby but I'm in two minds about the pink.
