There have been a couple of news articles in the last week saying it's a practice we should be revisiting...

It's mutilation, but if you have been mutilated you could possibly be more accepting of the practice.

I think....... if you need one, get one, if you don't, don't.

My eldest wasn't but at 18 months needed it so we opted for second boy to have it at 5 days.

My son was done only because my ex husband wanted him done.

My grandson was done for medical reasons.

a friend of mine recently had it done at 36. his doctor advised him to do so and he complied and said it solved his problems and is very pleased (not excited , pleased ) with the outcome. i really wish he didn't tell me at the time as i was unwell that day and it made me think of surgical procedures in general

Well just because some people get appendicitis it doesn't mean we she all have our appendix removed 🙂

Doing some family history research I recently came across a service record where the soldier was circumcised during the war. I was pretty used to seeing VD on service records, but this was the only circumcision I'd come across.

I used to be vehemently opposed. But then my son had to be done at 13. Not pleasant.

But whilst I was doing resaerch at the time (trying to convince doctor he was wrong lol!) I was staggered at the stats that show how many boys need to be done by puberty. When something like 30% of boys have to be done, there has be something in that.

I think it's a bit like taking out your appendix.

They don't whip it out once you are born. Only when it is needed.

Both my boys are done. They were done as babies and they cried for about 2 minutes then were fine.

I know of a few teen boys and elderly men who have had to be done and it was a much more traumatic experience for them

yes I have heard a few horrible stories from aged care workers and nurses so I don't oppose circumcision.
