I assume the "failure" he was talking about was the failure to be born into wealth and privilege, attend an elite school and move ina social circle that conferred automatic acceptance into every "Old Boys' Club" in the country.

The "Ignorance" of course, was not knowong the right people or what cutlery to use with which course at a seven course dinner, and the "Envy" was wondering why, in the scheme of things those accomplishmnets shoul beconsidered so important.

Its sickening to hear all the whinging now the welfare teat has been yanked out of thier mouths. This is not Denmark or Sweden., we are not into cradle to grave welfare but sadly that's what a lot of left erds expect now. Cry cry cry about their welfare and their right to it at the expense of taxpayers.

I thought I'd check wikipedia for socialism, I see there are quite a few different (mis) conceptions of it.

This was right at the top of the page and fits my idea of it:
