How do I find a picture?

If I have a picture - what do I do to find out if it anywhere else on the web kinda thing?

I last saw people do it here - they took some photo from the early days of the photo challenge and did something, but found all sorts of stuff - like where it originated and where else it had been used.

go to google images and click on the camera in the search box

I wish some people would do this before accusing others of posting photoshopped photos (nothing to do with the photo challenge thread).

Right click on image, search google for this image

I almost posted a pic last week that came from my phone, lucky I didn't as I discovered later that it was actually sent to me by someone else.

Does anyone know how to do it on an iPad? I tried the other day (not for anything on here) but couldn't work it out.

Not everybody has this function on right click.

And I'm not alone in this

you click the mouse button while on the picture, the right button i think.

May depend on what version of Windows people use.

Google Chrome --> Request Desktop site. Hold down finger on image posted in a thread - choose search Google for This image

That worked for me, on the image I posted above of the PM.

Right click and search google for this image. If the image has been used in a private site then it won't show up in a google search.

If it's been used on a public site then it will.

I have windows 8 - no google search on right click.

Using IE. Probably the wrong browser

Have you got your cursor over an image Stawka? You don't get search google when it's just on a post or text.

Google chrome - more likely to have Google image search feature than othe browsers.

Quciker to just right click on image if using right browser.

I'm on 8.1 - but firefox - I don't get that either
