Blowing your nose

What do you use?

Tissues? The nice soft ones with Aloe Vera in them?

A Hanky? Do you use the same one all day and just keep squishing it back in your pocket and then spend ages having to searxch for a clean spot next time you need to blow?

Do you just use the sleeve of whatever you are wearing?

My hubby used to use hankies until I refused to wash them (I would throw them in the bin) He uses tissues now 🙂

Watched an episode of Antiques Roadshow last night. A 43yo woman had started collecting beautiful squares of hemmed fabric since she was 17 and attending design school.

Apparently she had a collection of about 400 but didn't know what they were. She liked the patterns and the softness of the fabrics.

They were hankies.:smileyvery-happy About 800 English Pounds in value.

Yuk to tissues? They go straight in the bin, taking the germs with them, I'll agree, not very environmentally friendly, but definitely not yuk. Hankies on the other hand, unless they go in the wash after first use, blerk!

definitely!!!

hankies carry germs around all day,they multiply in the cloth,it's just...shall we say,unsanitary?

Puff plus with aloe vera. Soft and gentle on the nose, way superior to competitive brands.

My grandparents used hankies and I always found them kind of gross. Specially when out and about.....after being used they would stuff them(with their contents) in their coat pockets until they got home. Yuk.

What about those brickies, etc that used to tie knots on each corner and wear as sun protection?

We used to tie our "pocket Money" in the corner of our hankie.
