That seems most peculiar, I have not seen that happen before and have seen many worse threads deserving of it BUT, why not just remove it?

yea? ive seen threads locked before for..for investigation purposes or for what might be best for the community.. depending on the content too.

the OP mightve have violated any board rulz thats why thread wasnt removed

How do you know a thread is locked? is there something to see that says it's locked? sorry, I don't know what this means & I'm curious.

look down the page micasheen, you'll see one with a 'lock'' symbol on it

my creepy thread was locked....

my OP was not against ebay rules and it was a discussion that was well worth having so there was no reason to remove it.

I have no idea why they locked it but I think it was because there were too many arguments or negative communications...

I have not gone into that other thread.. I opened it once or twice but didn't like it.

At least one of the removed posts at the end was so offensive that the person they were directed at felt the need to go to outside authorities.

The post I saw was not nice but hardly police worthy either. Perhaps some more nasty comments were posted afterwards but police, really? It's a chat board. People can go find another forum if this one is too hard to handle.

It was just a stupid troll type comment.

I've seen and heard worse in school yards. No excuse there either but police worthy? Not imo.
