Look underneath for any sort of name or design number, then google the china brand eg Royal Doulton, Noritake etc. Even without a pattern name or number, some companies have pages showing their designs going back years.

There is also a company called Chinafinders that have local and international sites that specialise in identifying and locating locationg pieces.

If you are able to identify the brand and pattern, searches internationally (including eBay) often turn up pieces surprisingly inexpensively. I recently managed to locate an old Doulton saucer for my cousin (dog's tail knocked it off the coffee table at a family function - not MY dog), and had it sent from USA for $24 including freight and it arrived perfect in about 10 days!

Cheers,

Marina.

It does say it's discontinued and they don't have any in their hot little hands at the moment.

I always check out the saucers and china whenever I see any at the markets or I'm in a 2nd hand shop. I'll try and remember that pattern and keep an eye out for a cup. My Aunt and Grandmother had RG stuff so my eye is drawn to it.

My sister has a saucer she wants to find the cup for. It's a long saucer, so it has room for a teacup and some bikkies. Are they called tennis something or other? It has pink and yellow flowers on it.
