Do you think a policy which states members may only use (1) Registered ID on the boards should be introduced to discourage posters who use alternate ID's to create disharmony?

yes, I hate it when one person's ID is being nice to me and another of the same person's is not, it's very weird

It used to be that people could only use one ID on the boards

I think that would be a fantastic idea Freddie. It never used to be allowed but even so, some members still used multiple IDs and got away with it. Now it seems that it is allowed load of, really.

Current policy:

Users are allowed to post using multiple ID's. However they are not allowed to do the following:

"The use of false registration information or creating multiple accounts for use on eBay's boards to avoid detection or which results in disruption on the boards."

I find it very odd behaviour if one person posts with 2 diff ID's, posts in the same thread and even talk to themselves and/or agrees with each other.
Even seen one thread with 2 posts, 2 diff id's, same person.
Not contravening policy but why would anyone do that?

I thought ebay used to encourage using a posting id and a selling/buying id so that the "selling/buying experience" would not be affected by argy bargy on the boards??

There are a few posters on here I would never buy from based on their behahviour on the boards......

Yes, they do puddle, but I think the thread is more about using multiple ID's. ( maybe to appear to be different people) on the chat boards
