Job Irony

On this mornings Breakfast show they were inviting callers to relate funny similarities to Professions or jobs relating to surnames.

One caller's surname was Reid, a diver whose job it is to clear scum and algae (and reeds) from council ponds and pools.

A Lady called in to say her obstetricians name was Dr Cocks, another who knew of a Dr Proctor who was also a Proctologist.

A Cardinal in the Phillipines called Cardinal Sin.

The funniest of all was one caller's father who worked in a bank, surnamed Crooks, and his mother, working at the same bank, whose maiden name was Forge.

Anybody else know of any?

There used to be a couple of Drs in Canberra, one was Dr Death and the other Dr Cutter (who I think might have been a surgeon, but that may be my imagination)

We have a lawyer here with the surname Crook

Where I lived a long time ago there was a dentist by the name of Butcher

a DR Payne and Charles Wright optomistrist "C Wright Optomistrist'' was a sign on a Mitcham (adelaide shop)

The Doctor who delivered my son was Dr. Child his Father was also an obstetrician.

There used to be a company that made poker machine called Nutt & Muddle .... There was also a Sydney butcher called W A Grubb

my childhood dentist's name was dr. delver...he cracked a kid's jawbone delving with a drill once.

As a workup prior to my heart transplant, every orifice was invaded by a camera, and one day I was being probed by a proctologist named..........Quigley.

I mentioned that her actions would make a good movie title.........
