It's a very serious and rare blood condition.

It affects males far more than females and the known rate of sufferers is around 1 male in 5,000,000.

I guess I got to win one of life's lottos :^O

I have to inject myself twice per day in the guts with a strong blood palette altering drug that costs me around $600 per month.

It's a very severe form of Thrombophilia

Because it so rare it's not easy to diagnose, but once it is it's pretty easy to control to a good level and you can lead a normal active life provided you just remember to keep up with your daily injections, but that's really no more difficult to do than all the millions of A type diabetics.

It took years of suffering countless DVTs, PEs, one fairly minor heart attack and 4 fairly minor strokes before one doctor in the local hospital told his boss man that he had seen something like it before and asked if he could run the correct blood tests to check it out, and hey presto my life became normal again instead of being in and out of hossie way too often for yet another bloodclot somewhere.

I haven't looked back since.
