Why did you leave it till 10 days before you could get a Rhodes scholarship to become an Australian Citizen when you had already been here for 20 years?

Why did you not declare your daughter’s ‘scholarship’ in the pecuniary interests register? It is a widely held belief that a scholarship is awarded to an outstanding student who would normally not have the means to pay for their study. And if it was, as claimed, awarded on merit, why did none of the other students or teachers know about it?

Why were you allowed to pay back over $98,000 of ‘inadvertently paid expenses’ for moneys incorrectly claimed when you said it was an administrative error. Many of your ministers were also allowed to pay their money back when it was ‘discovered’ that they too had made administrative errors. Yet Peter Slipper’s career was destroyed over $900 and he was not allowed to pay his back. Why is this?
