Political threads

As there is a long running political thread on here why then do the proponents on that thread then start multiple threads and go into other political threads that are of the opostite view to their own political leanings.

eg: the global warming issue and the illegal immigrant issue which have been done to death.

Could it be that the "dedicated" political thread doesn't have enough diversity of thought? no real debate of issues? and is just a fora for like minded to agree with each other?.

A thread that only agrees with the op is OK, if that's the intention, but then why do they go the mob rule on other political threads that end up ruined becuse they go on the attack and it decends into chaos? is that the intention? to shut down any other political thought that does not gell with their own.

Personally, I love political threads.

Agreement is so boring, nothing to learn with "group think", we have that in spades in America, a real concerted effort to get everyone on the same page, in lock step, not going to happen.

And expectations, salivating if friends may disagree politically and/or about religion. As if adults can't be friends unless they agree. How juvenile.

You'll notice the Left loves diversity, unless it is in thought. I really don't understand why they seem so threatened by an opposing point of view. I conclude they are on shaky ground and they sense it. Could be other reasons.

Ad hominem is the resort of those who are clean out of valid arguments.

Totally agree, the left think the right are bad and the right think the left are mad.

When Labor was in power they stayed away because even they couldn't defend them but as soon as the majority of voters ousted labor they all flocked on here to run their mantra, their list of grievances, their disappointment that the Rudd/Gillard/Rudd sage ruined Labor.

The "locked in" promises the "legislated policies" they tried to Abbott proof, it was labor at their worst, tdespicable desperate actions ever witnessed in Australian politics.

They spent into the future, they spent and tried to embed it in the forward estimates, they played on the most vulnerable in the community, the disabled and they waved the children and education card until people realised that education in primary schools had failed no matter how much money was pumped into it.

Their's was a deliberate act to booby trap the Abbott government whom they knew would win the election.

They are running the Human rights commission and the ABC to do the dirty work on illegal entries because they know if they tried to interfere in that they would tank, they have all the 3rd party commentators and red rags running their opposition for them because they don't have a policy to stand on, no legacy to crow about.

Next week we will be served up the Ray Martin Lovey, interviewing the worst PM in Australia's history, air brushing all her dismal missteps and covering up her vicious attacks and appalling political maneuvers Labor is so good at, and we are now having to witness shorten every day squealing like a girl about everything, he thinks he can do an Abbott but he comes across like a whiney labor union hack rousing the militants to the labor cause.

You have no control of what thread other posters post in ( thank goodness).

Why do you persist with repeating the above over and over again?

i am embarrased to say ( for my former frineds) that i lost friends over tone scabott...can you beleive it? i could forgive them for their

views, but they couldnt forgive me of mine....

I was stunned they couldnt be adult enough to accept differing views *shrug*

At the end of the day if that was all it took to sever a friendship... yadda yadda yadda, but i do miss the biker lady

The level of irony in this opening post is stupendously breathtaking.

I do recall that you were extremely vocal on a thread that joono started some weeks ago on more or less the same subject.

Sounds like every political party I have ever known - could it be the 'politicians leading by example' ?

It's all the cut and thrust of debate. Some people get emotional about issues they are drawn to. We should welcome the chance to debate. Sure it goes over the top now and then but that's the human nature.

Yes but there's no "cut and thrust" on that long running political thread except for one dissenter who is howled down every time he points out a fact, the real facts being ignored, no diversity of thought or debate like a kudo klub of like minded mindless.
