Right around the world people are hitting the streets to demand stronger action in climate change in what has already been dubbed as the biggest climate rally in history!! How come our media hardly mentions it?

Climate change is a worldwide concern.

If it is pollution that is a concern then yes, do something about it. But to try to put a new dress on it and call it Global Warming/Climate Change/ Climate Diversity is a big stretch of the imagination, it is only called that because it appeals to the simple minded who have been conned int believing with not a scrap of proof that the pollution causes drastic adverse conditions in the global climate.

It is easy ti whip the simple minded int a frenzy on any issue, all that needs to be done is appeal to their ignorance, and rather than admit that they have not a clue they go along with anything that is fed to them so they can fool themselves into a false sense of of being among the informed.

My goal this week...avoid going into Mahattan at all cost! It's a traffic nightmare. They close off lanes so the diplomats can fly through the city no problem. The rest of us....a short drive from the east side to the west side can take over an hour.

Lol...it's Autumn here and that's a morning fog rising off central park. It's not like it was a long time ago. Even as a kid I remember seeing smoke billowing from the tops of every building, the choking fumes from trucks and buses, and even cars. All that's gone.

I couldn't find one going back to the 60s and 70s, but I'm sure it was much worse than 1990.

Joz, even if there was only one human in the entire world there would be an impact on the ENVIRONMENT to some degree

My issue is with the huge con job that has been fed to all and sundry that the pollution is causing drastic changes in the global climate and causing the temperature of the earth yo increase beyond its normal mean over the eons.

Yes. And they've really tightened up on car emissions. To get your car to pass inspection they put a probe in the tailpipe and it must be below a certain level or you fail and your current sticker is scraped off. now they even have cameras on the machine that can be viewed remotely by the Department of transportation. Cheating can easily be tracked and huge fines given out.

Although they really need to crack down on diesel. If it were up to me I'd outlaw diesel. Occasionally I get stuck behind an old diesel truck and it's as if someone lit a charcoal grill in my truck. Vents and windows closed...it's still horrible!

As far as why Tony Abbott wasn't at this meeting....His answer doesn't make sense.

First is this.....

World leaders including US president Barack Obama and UK prime minister David Cameron will attend the UN secretary-general's Climate Summit on September 23.

Mr Abbott will not be attending, despite the fact that he is due to attend a UN Security Council meeting in New York the next day.

But then this.....

Speaking to Radio National this morning, the PM said he was staying away from the climate talks because he needed to attend Parliament in Canberra early next week.

Ok. He couldn't be here Tuesday because he'll be in Canberra next week, but he can be here today, lol.

I'll say hello for yous!
