In my nearest mall (huge now since renovations) they have a staff member drivng a little electric car thing, with bench seats behind the driver which customers can hop on and get a ride on from one end to the other, hopping off anywhere along the way.

People trying to get off when it's still moving, whiplash when the driver hits a stray trolley, kiddie trying to get on, etc Am I seeing the scene correctly?

Of course not. Do you think a mall would operate a ride on vehicle in a place full of pedestrians without implementing strict WHS regulations that the driver must follow?

It works fine. Driven slowly, customers tell the driver which store they want to get off at when they get on. Never ever seen a stray trolley inside the mall walking areas or any other large obstacle.

Parents are responsible for their children in public.

You found a parking spot quite a ways from the mall entrance and as you and your grandson are trekking to the entrance he asks why you don't have one of those handicap stickers for your car? 😄

(True story, and I had to explain to him that not everyone over 50 qualifies for a sticker.)
