shocking that... another Isis extremist related attack?

He was born in Quebec but reportedly recently converted to Islam and had his passport seized after being designated a 'high-risk traveler'

seems he also had a criminal history

Zehaf-Bibeau, who had a criminal history for drug trafficking in Montreal and robbery in Vancouver, was born in Quebec as Michael Joseph Hall but recently converted to Islam

condolences to the family of the poor soldier who was only doing his job

does anyone know if it's confirmed that more were involved or just the one?

Canada has been a strong ally in the war against ISIS in Iraq and Syria.

Whether it was done by a lone wolf, small unaffiliated group, or ISIS itself, the operation is designed to weaken ties within Canada, between Canada and America, and serve the United States with a warning that it will strike back.

and yes, has happened here but some will say "that was years ago" as if it was not relevant.

And I suspect what they will really mean is it's not relevant because the perpetrators were not Muslim. It's worth noting the two men who were convicted (and later exonerated) for the Hilton bombing were members of an international cult - Ananda Marga.

Years ago or not they are not irrevelant

The locations were decidedly different to striking at the centre of a nation's government though, as they did in Canada.

This seems, somehow, more threatening.

Mosman Town Hall and the Syndney Hilton Hotel have not yet achieved that status

I don't know how prepared our politicians are but relying just on cops is not enough, all members of parliament should be carrying a concealed .38 revolver. You can't just expect law enforcement to be watching everyone 24 hours a day. It worked in Canada, someone stopped him.

I didn't say anything about changings gun laws, politicians should have the legal right to carry a gun for self-defence their job is high risk.
