Child endangerment ??

A 40-year-old Rivett woman was caught drink-driving in Duffy on Sunday afternoon, while driving her three children home.

The woman returned a positive blood alcohol reading of 0.282 when she was tested by police in her white Nissan Pulsar sedan on Eucumbene Drive at about 3.28pm.

Police said she is a repeat drink-driving offender, after finding earlier offences in NSW.

The woman's licence was suspended immediately and she will be summonsed to appear in court charged with driving with a high-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.

Police had been conducting random breath testing in the area.

Yes, obviously......and who, how and when will someone assist this Mother?.....to get her children from A to B whilst assisting her get off the alcohol?

The law is fairly clear about what will happen.

I don't think I know enough about it to make a call like that though.............. it's usually best for children to stay with their parents if at all possible.

She can catch buses now instead

Agree azure, I hope the poor woman gets the help she needs. On the flipside though, she really has no excuse. Drink Driving, Kids in the car etc is just a bloody tragedy wating to happen and by that stage it's too &^%*& late.

Is there such an offence in Australia for drivers of motor vehicles to be charged with?

Virginia man was charged with felony criminal child endangerment, first-offense driving under the influence, operating a non-commercial vehicle while intoxicated and travelling the wrong direction on a one-way street for having his 3-year-old in his car and registerisng a .123 blood alcohol concentration.
