How do you think a change in Government will change Australia? In September

I remember Paul Keating warned Australians what would happen under John Howard and he was correct to a degree. Do you think voters are being warned with any accuracy prior to this coming election?

My feelings are that we are heading for a more conservative future, I also believe that the libs will try and destroy the union movement.

Feel free to add how you believe things will change in Australia if there is a change in Government.

if Keating was correct please tell mw why the Liberal party held power for so long. The last election was such a mess and people don't want another. imo the people are loking for some hope. imo there will be a change of government this year.

I think that the reasons people voted Labor and turfed them out should answer that. They didn't like Workchoices for starters.

The reasons Labour gets voted in every now and then is because people tend to forget just how bad they are at running the country.

Lets get the NDIS started, the cancer centres and the NBN finished before we let him anywhere near the PMship.

If there is a change in government there will be a spate of militant union action until steps can be taken to real that in.

There will also be a whole heap of blame laying, from both sides.

Some of the booby traps that have been laid will be detonated and some will be dismantled before detonation.

The ciuntry's debt will gradually be lowered

There may be a double dissolution.

Gillard will quit politics and knit booties for single mothers on the dole.

Swan will sink into oblivion

Genuine labor supporters will die of shame the others will just get more shrill in their critisism,

Labor may become a viable party again in a decade or two

No I don't.

You'd have to be able to predict the future to know how Australia would change, with either government in power. Life is not static. Spanners get thrown into the works constantly.

His conservative catholic views will throw the ideas and aspirations of this nation backwards by 20 to 30 years.

I predict a massive recession within 12 months of an Abbott led Government.

It's not about Mr Abbott running the country but Mr Abbott getting the job, nothing more nothing less.

i dont think he's conservative enough for the right of the liberal party. i'm fairly certain that the party will split down the middle sooner rather than later. the ensuing spat will create a situation like the one in victoria. disunity will bring them undone eventually.

Massive recession? Isn't that a good thing (Keating told us it was)

And Gillard only got the job because she's a woman, first female PM, nothing to do with if she could do a good job. She was a patsy from the get go.
