comb overs

Do men that use this, quite frankly ridiculous hair style. Think that we see what they think they see. Or is it an indicator of a lack of intelligence. Most would say it is just vanity but surely one must be fairly unintelligent to think that just because they are fooling themselves that we too will be equally fooled.

Probably a psychological comfort habit - one of the few areas that men themselves are subjected to social stigmas and what defines "beauty" is male pattern baldness. Most younger people simply shave off their hair these days so those that do the comb over probably still have the anxiety from years ago...

My FiL has had a comb over for as long as I've known him. It looks ridiculous. He's quite a dapper man otherwise so I suppose he thinks it looks good.

#1 son has shaved his head ever since he started losing hair in his mid 20s. I think it suits him.

I have a number two about every 4-5 weeks in the summer. I let it grow in winter and mates accuse me of having a comb over.

edit: I just realised what I said .... No, not that sort of number two.

There are a lot of people with ridiculous hair styles..... the comb over would be one of the least offensive.

I think girls wearing obvious hair extentions and fake eyelashes more disturbing.

Some girls look like their eyes have tarantulas on their eyes..... hopefully the fad will pass soon.

Unfortunately women are subjected to enough critique especially from other women. That I for one would never judge a woman on anything she does. This does not mean that I don't find certain practices just as ridiculous but I keep those thoughts to myself. Sometimes I do have to bite my lip. Men on the other hand are not held up to such criticisms.

A combover is disturbing. Especially when it lifts up in the wind.

As mentioned above many younger males tend to shave their complete head if going bald. Maybe the combover practice will die out.

Unfortunately they may not know they will feel better if they realized the people that matter don't care what they look like.

When I read the thread title I thought it was another abbott thread.

Why don't his advisers tell him that a comb over looks silly?

LOL at the tarantulas. I know the sort you mean, the rest of the face is spack filled and makes it look like it's made of plastic.

It's sad to see teenagers looking like that. They do not need make up at all.

Women should feel free to use make up or not.

They also should show some guts to just not do it and tell men who criticise them "go bleep yourself/wear it yourself if you like it so much".

I'm thinning but not bald. What drives me crazy, is these young guys with full heads of hair that shave their heads.

I am wondering if head shaving is like other shaving and lawn mowing (real lawn), it makes it grow thicker and longer when it does grow.

I can see where you are coming from....men bits that look like mushrooms like it warm and moist just like real mushrooms.

Many women dress to hide their bellies, blokes cannot really do that.
