‘No Muslim funeral home will accept him’

Just dump Man Haron Monis’ body at sea, Muslim leaders say

SYDNEY’S chief Islamic funeral director yesterday declared no Muslim funeral home would accept the body of terrorist Man Haron Monis and authorities should just dump his corpse at sea or “chuck him in the bloody **bleep**house”.

The 50-year-old extremist’s body remains in the morgue and is awaiting a complex autopsy. His body will be released before Christmas, but nobody has yet claimed it.

If Monis’s partner does not claim his body he will be given a “destitute funeral” by the Department of Health.

The Daily Telegraph contacted a number of Islamic groups around the state, who all distanced themselves from the gunman and derided the Martin Place siege as an act of **bleep**ry.

“We don’t care about him, we don’t know him, chuck him in the bloody **bleep**house,” said Amin Sayed, funeral director with the Lebanese Muslim Association.

I think burial at sea, from a warship that has just come back from the warzone and staffed by soldiers and sailors who served in afghanistan.

Better if they just bury him, pauper's funeral, no one will pay for a headstone, so it will be unmarked.

I dont know about this article, on the one hand its says they wont accept him but then it goes on to say it cant refuse him if he was still a muslim, it says his wife has not claimed his body, but the autopsy is not complete so its not available to be claimed...is it?

Seems to be an article about nothing.

Not that I think he sould be given any more air time, but I'd like to see his funeral with absolutely nobody (but perhaps his wife) in attendance.

I still feel for his children though, everyone seems to have forgotten about them, I hope they are ok.

I'd prefer her bail be revoked and she not be allowed to attend. He does not deserve any sort of memorial service.

Yes, I too hope they're ok. Hopefully they've had more time with their mum's family than him.

The deceased had a 'partner'. The partner and the deceased hostage taker were the major players in the murder of his ex wife( the mother of his two children)

I am not sure where the two children live. A lot of the ex-wifes family live in the United States, perhaps the children were taken over there after her death and are being cared for by their mothers family now.

She was only about 30 yrs old.

The partner is on bail for the murder of his ex-wife... says a lot about her character really.

I guess its a good sign we havet heard much about the children, it means the media arent going after them.
