LOL I have never been to one of those sales. I guess, it is unfair to say when some people cannot afford normal prices. But there is nothing I need so badly to put myself through this 🙂

At home in the Coffs Harbour region. We are going to Sydney for a few days to visit children and grandchild then back home. Have a great Christmas.

Jean, I love Coffs Harbour. Have spent five winters there a few years ago. Now my Daughter lives in Atherton, but they still have the house in Coffs, rented out.

Talking about Xmas shopping. I hate leaving it to the last minute. I like to find something suitable for the person I am giving to, and that takes time and careful thought.

Hurried presents can be a disaster. Like ours were last year.

As we have a large family and their financial situations are not on the same level, we have cutt down on gifts and only have Kris Kringle for Christmas Eve family gathering. What parents buy for their children is their Christmas Day affair.

Everyone in the family knows that I am slowly going blind, but what did I get from KK? A big book with small print. The book is heavy enough to hold, not adding a magnifying glass.

And poor Peter got an expensive After Shave that he can not use, because he gets a rash from any After Shave. They could hae asked me beforehand.

Also I would never buy perfume or make-up for a lady unless I knew exactly what her choices are. Same goes for clothes, especially for the younger ones.

So, even if you are in a hurry, think about the personality of the person to receive the gift.

Be safe, be happy and enjoy lots of love and laughter over the holidays.

I must admit the presents are limited - only becuase I just hate seeing the same thing Boxing Day for half.

Just need a new pair of plain gold earrings ( sleeper style but a bit bigger ).

Every jewellery store on the 26th will have 60% off.

I can wait.

So,so sorry to hear of your sight - know a little - had fast growing cataracts in both eyes.

Was like living behind a shower screen.

Happily both are fixed now - perfect - except back to the glasses for reading.

Magical Christmas is all everyone deserves, but the magic has to come from whithin ourselves. Just embracing the love and companionship of friends and family is a magical experience when you concentrate on the gift of a hug, a kiss, a smile and a compliment. All those things are freely given, but sadly overlooked some times for the expectations of material gifts.

Magic!!!!!

Create it yorself by showing people you love them regardless of their financial circumstances. The rewards are priceless.
