Do you make new years resolutions?

Do you keep them?

I have 2 so far, swim more and read more books...

Anybody want to share theirs?

I totally agree re chocolate- do you have favourites? I like dark chocolate, but I had a couple of 'clinkers' at a christmas visit..I didnt know they were still made..mad meringue kind of stuff inside..

As for resolutions, I have all these books that I have bought and havent read..must get around to them.

Pepe, the last time I made a NYR, it was to keep away from unhappy passive aggressive types..

You can't beat 70% dark chocolate. Anything stronger seems a bit to bitter for me. I remember clinkers.

I have a book sitting on my desk that has been there for about the last two months and I still haven't touched it yet. Hopefully I will get in the mood for reading again soon.

Not that I recall. I think I may have thought this was finally gonna be my year when a new one would come around. For some reason each one seems to get worse. But not in all things. There Might be one area that has gotten better, just not by much and slow going.

Maybe I should actually make a resolution, But what? Only thing that comes to mind it maybe to take up drinking in 2015. I would say give it up but I never started. Maybe I can make another resolution in 2016 to give it up.

Only thing now is where to start. Wonder if I can look up how to make my own on the internet. Just to save on money. I'm in the hills,I should be able to do it if I don't blow myself up. lol

My resolutions are and have been the same for oh a long long time.

Give up smoking.

Lose weight.

Exercise more.

I've succeeded with all 3 but the weight I lost I found again, so this year I hope never to find it again.

No, never took an intrest in it. Don't know how legal it is though. I did find some stuff on Youtube. This might be something I can get into. Is it that you just can't sell or transport it?, I'm not up on the paticulars. like if it's worth the effort, the costs of materals and ingredients, ect. I imagine if it was something worthwhile then more people would be doing it, and the state and liquer stores wouldn't be making money.

I don't like the taste of beer, but I do like some brands of burbon whisky

No I never make them. BUT this year I am going to pull my finger out and fix up the house a bit and not be looking back at the same year as this and the one before and the one before. Change is a comin'

When I was young, my dad used to make his own beer and ginger beer..I remember the bottles used to be stored in the laundry and at odd times of the day (and night) get a hell of shock when one exploded...my dad would be devastated

I dont know anything about the legality of it- Im pretty sure here in Melbourne you can still make your own beer, but you probably cant sell it. There are some pretty good craft beers that come out of my neighbourhood...small production..some of the local bottle-ohs sell them, but they would be commercial..

Its legal to make beer.

I, along with a few others made heaps of beer at School in the uk, some turned out really nice, some not so.
We still drank it, i suppose when its not allowed it always tastes good LOL

I tried elderberry 'wine' on Christmas day- it was pretty foul..I thought it would be sweet and refreshing and it just tasted YUK

What needs doing has to come first and I'd be really happy with even that.

House needs some work before it can be sold or even tenanted.

I would really love to have six months a year up here and six months in Tassie, ultimately.
