Considering the era I grew up in I got off to a pretty late start - age 19

Had oppotunities earlier but wanted the first time to be with someone I genuinely cared for - not just a hit and run.

The "Free love" culture was in full bloom.

Aren't kids losing them even earlier these days?

Just took a quick look on the net and it appears age 17 is the current average in the U.S., and that over the last few years the trend is not toward earlier, but instead toward waiting longer.
