Now don't get stroppy with me, I know I am not supposed to look for items here, but my item is an 'individual one'.

I would like to be able to tell you how I lost this place mat, but no-one in the family will own up!

It matches my chair cushions, pelmet curtain covers, and I want to replace it, or even find the material and make one myself.

Yes, I have looked, spotlight, lyncraft, you name it, can not find this material.

My suggestion would be (if you can't find the same one) to buy some in one of the colours featured in the placemat. If you have a setting for 8, then buy 4 plain coloured ones, then alternate them on the table. You could choose lime, yellow, orange or one of the shades of blue.

By the way, how old is the placemat? Was it a recent purchase or have you had it for a long time?

I suppose you've looked under the chair cushions for the missing placemat.

Depending on size, buttoning, etc. would it be possible to use the underside of a cushion to make a new placemat.

Nah, forget that; too much trouble.

Or get a whole new range?

I'll keep an eye out while I'm window shopping. It could have been sold just about anywhere. I'm thinking Gone Bazaar, Bed Bath and Table or even Myer Target and the rest.

I like Simone's idea too.

Thanks guys, it is a rental unit, and I started with 4, so I figure I gotta end with 4 ! LOL

It is just so annoying, seriously, I just have no idea how it could have gone missing.

I mean, who takes the placemat out for a walk????

Gotta be the kid's.

It looks to me like an Indigenous print. I will keep an eye out when I visit quilting fabric shops.

Are you saying they are not yours but belong to the unit you rent? In that case, you may find it hard to replace as going by the colours and the print it appears to be an older style rather than a newer style.

You could always take one of the placemats to your nearest interior design shop and see if they recognise the fabric.

Renting - one has to understand there is a certain amount of wear & tear.

There is nothing stopping you from just purchasing 2 placemats that equate with the colour -texture - size - ?

Modern sets are patterned, plain, patterned, plain.

Make up a set that works.

Sugar don't waste your life on a pattern - make your own & leave it.
