In view of the shambles and disarray of the Labor party and the probable rout at the September 14th. elections with possibly two thirds of Labor falling and the looming event of the NLP haveing a vast majority and possibly the control of the Senate as well :--

Would you be in favour of Kevin Rudd being returned as Labor Leader and Prime Minister?

Gillard stabbed him in the back.

As far as I am concerned she has done soooo much damage to the Labor name that no one can save them now.

It wouldn't matter if they put God himself in charge they still wouldn't win.

Since they have let Julia steer the ship into the path of the iceberg I think they should let her go down with the ship, accept that this election is lost and after this election kick her butt to the kerb and then get a new leader. Now I don't know if that should be Kevin or not. Apparently he was a pain in the butt to work with before and Lord knows there are still a lot of pollies in Govt who hate his guts but maybe if he has learned his lesson and could be a more reasonable boss he might get the job again. Or maybe it is time for some new blood!

But really is labor that desperate... sadly yes they are to have the narcissistic Rudd back.

The man that started most of this rot and the destruction of our borders yet the Australian public (some of them) seem to still think that he is the messiah

You have to question the objectivity of Labor voters that are pressing for a Rudd return, have they forgotten the damage this man has done to this country?

He was personally responsible for the scrapping of a working border policy that has resulted in the diabolical mess we now have.

The petulance, the ego, the manic work schedule, the disrespect of staff and contemporaries.

There is something very strange about Rudd and I wish I were a psychiatrist to give you a full analysis.

All I see is someone that uses odd expressions and words, someone that has to have an adoring crowd around himself or a TV camera in his face. I think the word is narcissistic. He isn't one bit bit interested in the voters or the country, he is only interested in himself and destroying Gillard.

Kevin may add a Rudd-er, but even he can't skipper this sinking ship

THE sight of Kevin Rudd being mobbed on the hustings in Geelong must send a chill down the Prime Minister's spine.

"Please come back. We would vote for you straight away," a blonde woman told Rudd, whose response was a cheesy grin flashed straight at the cameras to check the moment had been captured.

In coded and not so coded fashion, Rudd is on the march.

While it sounds absurd, there is no guarantee he won't lead Labor to the election. That is not a media concoction. Julia Gillard's stricken face in parliament last week, as Rudd moved brazenly around her loyalists, spoke volumes.

She has come so close to completing a term in office. She wants history to remember her as the "tough" first female prime minister who defied all odds to implement landmark policies on disability and education. This, she hopes, will be her enduring legacy after people have forgotten those policies are mirages, and that everything her government has done has turned to dust.

The border-protection fiasco she set in train from opposition is her true legacy, with 40,000 asylum seekers on her watch. Friday night saw another tragedy with a report of 60 asylum seekers drowned off Christmas Island, as people smugglers ramp up in anticipation of a Coalition victory. But on this issue, as with everything else, she and Rudd are equally hopeless. Rudd just thinks he's a better salesman.

How would voters take his return? Probably initially with satisfaction, as the rightful king is restored to the throne so unreasonably snatched from him. They might be disappointed at being deprived of the kicking they had been looking forward to giving Gillard, but they would still enjoy Rudd's revenge.

Then we'd remember what Rudd was like, and why his popularity had plunged to the point where his colleagues thought they could take him out. He doesn't like the media describing the last seven years as the Rudd-Gillard government, but the difference is little more than stylistic.

He has no answers, and co-owns most of the dud policies Gillard botched. Sure he'll save a few seats, but Labor will be back at square one with the whole stinking mess

As you may have guessed I am not a believer or supporter of Labor ethos.

The all too close affiliation of the Labor party and militant unions that have held this country and it's people to ransom on many occasions has been, and would be, unhealthy to the development of Australia.

This particular Labor government, the Rudd/Gillard government will surely go down in history as dark days for democracy.

Having said all that, neither to I relish what may very well eventuate.

Any government with total power over both houses has too much power, that power could and will be used for the good of Australia or to it's detriment.

In any debate the opposing teams should be on a par.

You don't have to look very far for evidence of this fact. Even C/S is not a level playing field and you have all seen the results.

Surely they couldn't even contemplate foisting that passive aggressive psychotic control freak back on the people.

Tony Sheldon (TWU) heavy said they are not going to restore Rudd, it would be madness. He intimated that they would rather gnaw their leg off than have him back.

He said all the policy failures that have dogged Gillard were Rudd policies, so what, is she so stupid that she couldn't formulate her own policies?.

The knub of Gillards failure is she has no leadership qualities, no real Labor values (like Rudd). Rudd & her are the architects of their own downfall & I can't wait until Sept.

I have no doubt that there are some heads tightly inserted in the sand or some other dark place within the ranks of the Unions, Labor Caucus, Labor power brokers and among rusted on Labor people, but what about them all going over a cliff out sheer perversity and taking the existance of Labor with them.

Does anyone think that the believer in true Labor ethos will thank this bunch?

Senator Xenophon says his Labor colleagues are despondent.

‘I think a few months ago he (Kevin) would have saved the leather lounge suite; right now I’m not sure he would save much more than the bean bags.’’

Some Labor politicians knew they’d be able to save themselves at the September election with ‘‘the Kevin drug’’, he said.

‘‘But they hate the person that will be administering the medication so much they don’t want to be a part of it,’’ he said.

Reader Palszy says Kevin Rudd’s triumphant tour of Geelong was actually stage-managed down to almost the last cheering supporter. For a start, the crowd scenes were not filmed in the marginal seat of Corangamite, but the safe seat of Corio next door:

Andrew...as I posted Friday Corio Village shopping centre is the bogan capital of Australia. I do not intend to be derogatory, but it is a fact of life. Corio is Geelong’s version of Broadmeadows on steriods. Labor could install Mikey Mouse as the leader, and the Corioites would vote for him.

What amuses me is Dick Marles seat is one of the safest Labor seats in the country, while Darren Cheeseman’s Corrangamite seat is one of the most marginal...why didn’t Kev weave his magic at the Waurn Ponds shopping in Grovedale (bigger than Corio) in Cheeseman’s electorate?

I will tell you why.. The public response there would be abhorring...definitely not adoring ...believe me, the average IQ rises considerably once you cross to the southern side of the Barwon River in Geelong.

BTW...just spoke to mate who’s daughter works as a hairdresser at Corio Village. She said that Friday was a circus, totally scripted from start to finish...a bus load of Labor supporters arrived a half an hour before Kev and his entourage. All the TV was shot outside John Eren’s (local state member) megazine floor office with his staff and the bus people. My mates daughter reckons Kev was exposed to the general public for less than a couple minutes, always surrounded by the ‘bus people’. She also noted that the comments from the women in the chairs in her salon when Kev wandered past her shop was not what we seen on the TV Friday night.

I went to a lecture on ASD and Autism with Tony Attwood. He said that he thinks Rudd has Aspergers... when you look at it I fully agree, I know my son has many of the traits that Rudd has.

It is nice to know that Aspie kids have a chance to grow up and be something pretty amazing.

I do not think Rudd will save the Labor Party. He might be the best option but then he will have to work with people that hate him with a passion. Or he picks a totally new front bench that have zero experience. Either way I don't think it is appropriate to run a country either way.

Can you imagine the next three months if he is head of the party??? The non stop re-runs of everyone bagging Rudd will be front and centre.

If Shorten is tapping Gillard and telling her that she has to reconsider her position as no one has faith in her then he should be the one to lead the party to a spectacular demise. He is one of the men that put her there so he should take the blame.

The Last Federal Election which resulted in a hung Parliament was in 2010 .Kevin Rudd wasn't in the running....

prior to the last federal election (June that year) Juila Gillard was elected unapposed as leader of the Labor party ..

Agenda yesterday saw Graeme Morris call Rudd "a psychotic destructive one man Al Qaeda weazle".

We were then served up the unique Latham hatred in his description of Rudd as conducting a revenge filled jihad well beyond what any normal person.

I think that is the most telling description of this very sick man, the man that Labor shielded for 18 months while he ran amok, destroyed people's self esteem, trashed the Cabinet process & totally ignored his caucus.

The spectacle of what he did to Christina Kenealy in NSW was sickening to watch. What he did to Gillard in the 2010 election was out there for all to see as well.

I do believe this man is a total misogynist with deeply rooted hatred & disdain for women.

This is a dangerous mentally ill man that should never have been allowed into any political party let alone lead it.

He singlehandedly started the destruction of the Labor party & Gillard is finishing it off .

The 1st time Rudd hit the my radar (I don't watch morning TV) I recognised him immediately as a passive agressive, not knowing the depth of his psychosis, but we all soon found out.

Rudd & Gillard are responsible for the disaster they are facing & trying to blame anything or anybody else for this tragedy is obtuse in the extreme.

Unfortunately this game is more complex and convoluted than most realise. Often it is not the one you suspect doing the damage. There are wheels within wheels at play.

From past experience I can say that on every forum there are several groups that take great delight in trying to cause as much disruption and friction between members and groups as they can for no other reason but their own perverted pleasure.

They attempt to set member against member by reporting both of them. The ones being reported blame their opponent and so a feud develops between them and escalates until there is only one left standing. This is the source of delight for the instigator.

Knowing that this behaviour goes undetected the instigator is safe from any reprisal and continues cause havoc.

Fortunately on most fora this is detected and addressed but unfortunately that is not the case on this forum.

I feel that the situation can be rectified if posters individual bring it to the attention of the moderators an eBay.

We can but live in hope that eBay take note of members concerns
