Along the same line as Polls, I read once that the insane person doesn't ever question their sanity.

I have a very good friend - who has had her share of problems.

When arguing (gently) - she aways reminds me that she is the one with the piece of paper to say she is sane.

I don't have it - never been there.

So perhaps she is 'saner' than I.

Bob, you probably know this as well as I do . . . the definitons, the descriptions of what constitutes insanity (or any other forms of deviance) are written and encoded by those persons in society who have the Power to do so.

Those who are in power, set the rules and set the parameters which describe apparently pathological deviance.

(and equally, apparently pathological compliance with an obviously insane System?)

No, you have it wrong. Since the people in power set the norms, if we disagree with them then we are insane. (at least, that's their story)

theres clarity in conformity cause no one knows what lies beound

simplicity and complexity like the layers in a frozen pond

aint it such a shame tell me whos to blame as we all go up in flames

Is that the gist of what you said? If enough people believe it, you're no longer insane?
