so sick, been like this for days, chocking on my own fluids i guess, can't sleep, worse when i lay down. help

coughing head ache , end of my rope, need suggestions, try anythiung. want to end this cant take more ple

Go to the doctor and stop drinking mouthwash.....you have probably poisoned yourself along with whatever else is wrong.

Don't drnink mouthwash, it's for spitting out.

Surely you haven't been swallowing mouthwash contravening the label?

Although mouthwash contains alcohol, it is usually denatured alcohol, which is unfit for human consumption or even methyl alcohol, which is poisonous and can cause blindness, organ failure and death. Mouthwash is designed to be expectorated rather than swallowed, and ingesting even a small amount can be detrimental. Ingesting amounts large enough to cause drunkenness can be extremely toxic and may lead to serious consequences.

Go to the doctor asap.

Joanie, can someone go to the drugstore for you and get some cough medicine for you. Something that will stop the coughing for awhile so you can get some sleep.

Really you should go to a Dr or hospital, you could have pneumonia, and suppressing the cough would probably make that worse.

So there ya go, two conflicting bits of advice, which basically means we can't help, you need to see a professional. If you don't want to go to the hospital maybe go to the drugstore. The pharmacist should be able to give you advice.

Go and see a Doctor asap.

If you have fluid on the lungs, which can be caused by a variety of reasons.

I've had it and it can feel like drowning, especially when you lie down and it collects,

then you cough etc etc etc ........

And as others have said, stop drinking the mouthwash, that could be one of the causes.

Thank you Kopenhagen for your sensible post.

It sounds to me, Joanie, that you have severe URTI, and if not treated, can descend into the lungs and a chest infection, which must be treated, probably with antibiotics.

Are you able to access free medical care? Go ASAP to a doctor.

Joanie in your post in Snowed Under I gave you a link to the poisonous nature of mouthwash, but you said it makes you feel better. Apart from the poisons it's full of alcohol so yes you might feel better but not for long.

i only swallowed alittle and only a couple of times. dad's reaction when he seen me falling over myself coughing in his driveway, was

i'm so out of it i don't remember if my apointment with shawnee medical was this week or next, thats when i was going to bring it up, but maybe cant wait. i'm losin it here yall

If you think you're "dying"...then swallow your pride and ask your father to drive you to hospital. If whatever is wrong with you is serious, the triage nurse will have a doctor see you in an appropriate amount of time.

Seems like common sense to me....rather than asking people on the other side of the world who have no way of helping you.

they wouldn't take me in. all they did was take blood, urine for drug tests. they ask me how many packs i smoke over and over again, what illeagel drugs i take, how much i drink.

they want me to take steroids, i don't think i want to put on muscle......... would somebody please tell them i don't smoke ? geesh. id sooner suck the carbon monoxide from my caR'S TAILPIPE i cant stop tghe caPS
