Female animal hunter receives death threats

A FEMALE hunter who posted a photograph smiling next to a giraffe she killed has received death threats from animal rights campaigners.

Extreme hunter Rebecca Francis has become the hunted by enraged social media users, who said they hoped she “dies a horrible painful death”.

The abuse came to a head today after comedian Ricky Gervais posted an image of Ms Francis with the giraffe.

He wrote: “What must've happened to you in your life to make you want to kill a beautiful animal & then lie next to it smiling?”

I agree with Ricky, why would you want to kill such an amazing animal? I know we kill animals every day (those animals are specifcally bred to eat, still horrible...) a giraffe in the wild though... Are the death threats taking it a bit far?

No more than the anti-abotionists shooting doctors.....

When the Florida State team arrived back on campus after their beat-down by the Oregon Ducks, a number of their cars had been vandalized...........by thier own supporters.

Nothing ever justifies death threats - though the comments I read were death 'wishes' rather than threats: i.e. they were hoping she would die a horrible death, not actually threatening to come and kill her.

Having said that, the photo made me sick to my stomach. I can understand - just - how shooting a lion or a tiger might makecsome people feel all big and tough and macho - but a giraffe? You might just as well shoot a poodle and pose triumphantly with it's dead body. Come to think of it, maybe that's what she practices on.

What a revolting specimen she is. Her reason for killing the giraffe was so that a community could feed on it.

Ricky Gervais shows more photos of her with a dead lion and huge bear and says she had them for pudding.

Sorry, I don't care what anyone says to her.

I don't think anyone should be making death threats but I would rather see hunters become an extint species than animals. I haven't read the link but those safari excursions in are a disgrace, what hero's these stupid hunters are with their weapons.

I was very disappointed to see that Glen McGrath had done similar, but he has since voiced his regret over shooting animals and posing with their dead bodies

I was thinking more along the lines of one fo the animals sneaking in from behind to take her as she lines up her shot.

Couldn't care less what happens to her, or Glenn McGrath for that matter. He is only sooking as he got so much flak and lost his nice boy image. No excuse whatsoever for trophy hunters, or for killing lions and tigers either.

Then there's this sicko, who cuddled a baby monkey before she shot it with an arrow and said she 'got a blast from it '.

And one would imagine that a community dependant on giraffe for a meal would be quite capable of hunting and killing one for themselves.

She should be fed on nothing but the animal she killed until it has all been consumed, skin, bones, intestines and their contents. she should be made to wear nothing else except what came off the animal until it has all worn out.
