Whoever finds fault in that image should get a life.

She could be just walking past a random stranger because she was is in a rush to get to where she is going. He might be on a leisurely stroll.

I was raised by my parents last century to walk on the road-side of the female I'm walking with. Force of habit makes me still do it, but Mrs Wine wonders what I'm doing and tells me not to be so old-fashioned

As for the media coverage and the twitter-storm, well all I can say is that it must be a slow news day.

i don't think so.

he is too close to the wall.

that's not natural if you walk alone.

that makes sense

the photo was taken because there was something

I was taught that the man had to walk on the outside of the footpath

so the woman doesn't get splashed by a passing car.

Nothing to do with swords there.

Same here but times have changed and now I'd rather teach my kids stuff that's useful for this century. :D:D

No, I'm not missing the point. I do not believe the point is appropriate to the century in which we live.

When those rules were accepted and applied women had few rights, were considered owned by their husbands, did not have to consent to sex and could be beaten to a pulp at a whim or disgarded to a nut house when he got sick of her. Times have changed. In this century there is nothing wrong with that photo.
