Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has explained his support for union opposition to elements of the China FTA.

Bill Shorten says he is “on the side of the angels” in supporting a union-led campaign against aspects of the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement, announcing Labor will propose three “sensible changes” to the deal.

The Opposition Leader is increasingly isolated over the free deal, with six Labor leaders backing the agreement and the Business Council of Australia accusing the opposition of playing politics on a deal vital to the national economy.

Mr Shorten has locked in behind a campaign against the agreement run by the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union, which claims it will cost Australian jobs by giving concessions to Chinese workers — claims rejected by the government.

"I'm on the right track here and if some people just want to ignore the concerns with the trade agreement, well I think they’re doing Australians a disservice."

“I do not feel isolated when I’m standing up for Australian jobs. I reckon I’m on the side of the angels.”

Mr Shorten said Labor would propose “three sets of sensible changes” but did not clarify what those were.

Does he mean he's away with the fairies?

B.S (Bill Shorten) is a hypocrite and will say and do anything to gain power. He is a fool and a failure and he is watching over our country's struggles with debt, medicare and the GST to try to get a better economic outcome on these things and he and his Senate lackeys are blocking everything. He will go down in history as making our country a failure.

He will preside over a drop in our quality of living standards and he will open our borders to the unstoppable tide of illegal immigrants who want a better life and we have the welfare that draws these people.

Millions trying to get to Germany and other welfare states whilst traversing through many other safe countries.

Tone's already already overseeing most of that.A plummeting dollar,consumer and business confidence down.Living standards down.Unemployment up.New taxes brought in.More new taxes proposed. In this little town that I reside in,5 or 6 shops have closed down in the last year.Tony's going,going......
