A techie to reception please, a techie to reception...

Are myself and a mate correct in saying that there is no way nowadays, to insert an avatar (or signature) on the eBay forum boards ? TBH, I'd never noticed until he pointed it out to me, because my avatar was installed before Lithium took over, and I supposed just carried over.

I'm not sure....but since you don't have a siggie, try going to your settings. Go to personal profile and click on personal information. There should be a box there to add a signature. That might answer half your question....

I added my heart siggie years ago when there was no convenient way to jump to the top of the page. If you click on it, it takes you to the main page.

I just tried to figure out how to do it, and I can't find any way to edit my photo for the forums. I could edit the photo through my ebay page, but I don't know if that photo is automatically changed for the boards.

Does your mate have an avatar on their MY EBAY page?

Yes, that worked. The siggy can be added, just as Polly suggested. The image can be edited through your MY EBAY page.

Click on your my ebay page.

Click on your username.

Click on Edit.

A tiny pencil will appear on the square. Click that.

Add a photo. Save.

Always save your changes.

No my mate doesn't have an avatar, as yet. I think he only joined (UK) a month ago. I will do a print-out of this page, and hand it over to him.

Yes JP, I did that to a siggie I had on the old UK boards. I think it was a url link that was required to achieve this, but could be wrong about that. That option was removed when Lithium took over.

As tcm has shown the profile pic in ebay is the same for community.

As for the signature, that is done here in community.

You select or create a graphic then convert it to HTML and insert the HTML code in the signature field at My settings then Personal info. At least that's where it is here in Aus.

I think that's right TCM but when I have changed my pic I've done it on the "my world" page. Click on your feedback and then to the right click on view Ebay My World.

Then click on edit profile. It doesn't always show up immediately. I think you might have to sign out and then sign in again.

I don't understand how anyone could throw out a teddy bear just because it has one eye.
