HI Guys,

I'm not sure how much John has been recently posting on this site, but I will make this brief.

John (monman12) passed away this morning at approx 3am from a rare illness, that he had been keeping a secret.

I hope you loved him, or better still loved to hate him (he much preferred that).

I didn't know him well, but he was very much respected here, especially for his wisdom.

i pegged him as he got a kick out of correcting BS [something that kept him occupied] he was hardly wrong

Some on here would do this for a joke..............I am so sorry, John was very much loved here, he knew everything about everything, when none of us did.......

I know there are some that would consider it a joke, but without breaking the rules and posting more personal details (apart from the fact that I was banned years ago, and I am using his account).

I will post details of his service and wake etc as we organise it. You are welcome to attend.

what a terrible shock.

though we certainly had our disagreements (lots, and i always felt he kind of enjoyed them)

he will be missed

Deepest sympathy to you Adam and the rest of your family. This is indeed a shock as it only seems days ago that he last posted. It sounds as if he might have passed in his sleep. RIP monman. (Just checked - he last posted last Friday.)

Always incisive, John will be missed by many including me.
