Shorten texts whilst driving

Can he be any more bumbling and irrelevant. Texting whilst driving and filmed doing it.

His go to answer? I have zero tolerance for using mobile phones whilst driving.

Is that like the zero tolerance he has for union corruption.

Last week he drove into cars and said he had spilt coffee, now we know he was lying about that too.

Rest easy Harley he will never be PM, he's dropped down to 14% so he's in the dead zone.

I wonder if he'll be rolled over Christmas and if he is who would take his place? the failures sitting on the front bench are all yesterdays men and women, they have no new talent.

Meanwhile we see him on Sky every day trying to become relevent, I just turn him off, he's got nothing.

Yes,what a major scandal.The Courier Mail I saw at the newsagent saw fit to fill its front page with the image of Bill on the blower.Obviously they are catering to their target audience.They have so much more to colour in with their crayons.Yesiree.

Bill, in my opinion you showed incredibly poor judgement, taking your attention off the road while driving.

When I was younger, I too showed incredibly poor judgement, while driving.

I nearly killed a girl, in the process.

Sometimes, and I don't even need to close my eyes, I can still see her lying on the road.

Bill, you were lucky to get away with a fine, and a couple of days being roasted by the press.

Some things stay with you forever, mate. Keep your eyes on the road, okay?

Stay safe, drive safe, your wife and kids need you.

I suppose the other driver who used his mobile phone camera to film whilst driving can also expect to cop a fine and loss of demerit points?

Shorten rushes off to report himself after texting whilst driving last july. It seems to be his MO to get ahead of any flack. Remember when he outed himself for rape allegations to negate the victims story.

If he'd killed someone it would be an unforgivable tragedy,unlike an Aussie airstrike in Syria because obviously the victims (innocent women and children)are not worth caring about.Land of the double standard.

What if those women and children are supporters of the rebels, or IS, and provide succour? Are they innocent then?

A callous disregard for human life is a callous disregard for human life.

It doesn't matter whether it's not paying attention while you're driving, or unloading a few hundred pounds of high explosive over a residential area.

Watch the carnage on the evening news and by breakfast time tomorrow you've forgotten about it.

It's very easy to close your eyes.

It's very easy to close your heart.

Look at us.

Civilised people.

A ton of car on a freeway kills just as effectively as a 500 pound bomb.

it was a stupid thing for Shorten to do... unfortunately he's not the only political person caught doing the wrong thing

Ms Credlin pleaded guilty to blowing 0.075 during a breath-test, but today avoided having a conviction recorded.

Ms Credlin's lawyer argued for the charge to be dismissed due to her otherwise clean driving record and the punishment already received by having the matter play out in the media.

Her lawyer also told the court that incoming Attorney-General George Brandis, had written to the court describing Ms Credlin's exemplary character and how she had a 21-year unblemished driving record.

"I haven't made any excuses. I have fronted the court like everybody else.

"I did the wrong thing. I made a mistake and I asked for the matter to be dealt with in the usual way, which it has been today.

imo they should all be held acountable for their actions as anyone else would. I can't remember whether this made front page news or not att
