Fascinating what some people can do, or discover by accident.

I assume ths is done on layers of resin. It's beautiful work.

Years ago I used to work with resin, embedding flowers and insects. Never thought of painting on layers.

Sorry, I can not hear what is being said.

I'm deaf and hate my hearing aids.

Beautiful artwork. My aunt had a resin coffee table impregnated with small colourful pebbles, I thought it was wonderful.

Is it difficult to keep bubbles out of the resin?

From what I've read and seen, you use a heat gun.

The bubbles rise to the top.

Deb, when mixing the resin with the hardener, one has to be very gentle stirring the mix. Same goes when pouring the resin, slowly and steady, so no bubbles form, but some bubbles can be burst with a pin or toothpick while the resin is still soft enough to flow together.

It's potend fumes need a lot of ventilation while working with liquid resin.

I used to love that work and made some jewellery pieces with Opal chips on a black base.

That's truly inspiring. I can't look too long before my mind starts to wander, and I'm off redesigning the kitchen bench top, or dreaming up an occasional table that's lit from beneath, or wondering if i could hang it against a window.... There are so many possibilities...
