Why is Mr Turnbull only just talking about it now? Did someone tell him it's about 10 times the amount he get?

The CEO of Australia Post's exhorbitant salary has been known for years. There was a big discussion about right on this forum 2-3 years ago.

It gets talked about, nothing gets done, then it's dragged out again years later.

I mean, who ok'd that salary in the first place?

its easy to vent at mr fahour, however who wouldnt take 5.6 million bucks to do a job a figure more like 1 million bucks should be more than enough.

i blame those faceless board members who agreed to this and the other pay deals in the australia post upper managment.

have these people lost all touch with reality?

i also blame any govt that allowed these pay deals to happen 'under their watch'

all very well for premier trouble (PM Trumble) to be sayin now 'i'm not happy about this'

if he didnt know he should have, the mister covering this should get the sack!

Mr Farhour has been in the job since 2010 when Labor was in government....even then his remuneration was obscene but not quite as bad as it is now. At least the PM is starting to ask questions now.

i did say 'any' govt that presided over these outragious pay deals, not taking sides here. a pox on both parties.

all very good for PM thimble to be saying its got to change but he also aluded to this being a company he has no control over. even though its govt owned, i dont know how that works.

i would bet if we offered the CEO of the US postal service 1.5million (thats about tripple what shes on now) shed be here before you put the phone down.

any talk of having to pay huge amounts to get talent is only true up to a point. that point for australia post was passed around

half a million.

It does you no credit to be disrespectful to our Prime Minister.

Most of the world feels the USA was disrespectful for not getting his name right but what does it say about Australians who do the same?

PM Trimble and his merry men are pretty much tredding water until the next election hoping for a miracle so they get re-elected.

at least previous PM rabbit had a vision, no one liked it but he had it.

this fake PM spent years telling us he believed in so many things, pinched the top job, became super popular because yay, heres a guy with the worldly knowledge to fix australia.

then almost imediately all those things he believed in were gone, he became a sneaky version of PM Rabbit.

and we all saw his popularity slide. it wasnt just me that decided he and his lot were taking us for a ride.

the mess he finds himself in is all his own doing, nothing to do with bill the dill or any of those on 'the other side' he complains bitterly labor opposes everything. well didnt the liberal party do that when the first female PM was running things? what goes around as the say. i dont remember MP tumble telling his people to stop the negativity and help govern the country.

and MR ' i practically invented the internet" has now spent how many billions on the NBN (the better faster cheaper) version of labors plan? well we dont know how many billions because its a secret but we know its outstripped the labor plan by quite a long way. if it was as promised 'better faster cheaper' he would be out there telling everyone. plus what we are getting is carp, no better than most allready had.

hes out there promoting COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS! this guy was a climate change believer! look i'm riding a tram during the election campaign cos i dont want to add exhaust fumes to the enviroment....LOL

no, i dont respect the govt. if they get returned in the next election then australia gets what it deserves.

I have felt exactly the same way about the Labor party and it's various governments over the years but I don't go out in public and vilify them and use childish names for their leaders.
