art thread?

Hi folks. I've just bought a box of coloured pencils, and will be working on my first drawing soon. I'll post the completed work here. Would love people to post their art here for us to see. Doesn't matter what type of art - drawing, painting, photos/photo manipulation, cake decorating, quilting, poetry, origami, whatever. Let's have some fun and show our creativity. 🙂

Oh, and if someone could show me how to post a picture from photobucket to here - a full sized picture, not a little business card sized picture attachment that seems to be the only way this forum will allow - I'd appreciate it. I've seen people post full sized pictures here, so there must be a way to do it.

This is "Nodding Bear", made from a faux fur coat that a friend didn't know what to do with other than throw it away, so I suggested I make a bear for her. It's called "Nodding Bear" because the head just would not go on right, the joint somehow went wrong and wouldn't come back out again making the head nod all over the place but she loves it just the same ... :^O

That's beautiful moonlight, gorgeous beads. Have never done beading myself, not quite my forte, but love the work others do.

It seems that most of my jewellery pics are on my lap top ... and I'm on my desk top.

What I love about jewellery making is that it is really easy and relaxing ...

I have some equipment, some beads... but just can't get interested enough to do it.

These are the only photos I have of this piece on my laptop and they've had the instagram treatment. It's quite old and shows a car I used to own full of animals that I've owned or had known at the time. The door and bonnet open to show more critters (and me).

I probably should add that it's actually a drawing on cardboard, with paper underneath, collage and a bit of wire as well. And I made the frame myself as well 🙂

Thanks Az, I love it too. It spent quite a few years in the old art school portfolio under the bed before I did a woodwork course and decided to make a frame for it. Poor old frame needs a bit of tlc at the moment though.

Az, let me know if you'd like some pointers ... I started off nervous, then got the basic skills and then just LOVED playing with beads 🙂 They are so pretty ... and it's fun making different things ... I made a girl's bracelet like a flower ...
