My eBay problems

I've posted this in Technical but thought I might get quicker response here .

Haven't been able to load My Ebay for hours.

Just a blank page.

Anyone else?

*sigh* Clearing cookies etc was all I could suggest in your other thread.

Mine has been slower than a wet week but eventually does load.

No kopes. the app with Fireflox seems to mostly block them

I often clear cookies and temp internet files then clear history on the browser as well.

Restart computer and things seem to work well.

The only other factor that slows the internet down is my laptop can get hot then the graphics can slow the internet down.

Hence a good adblocker helps.

I got a couple of erasers and place them under the laptop so as to allow more circulation underneath.

If you use a laptop, never use it sitting in it's bag. Gets hot very quickly.

If you have a desktop, I seem to remember you buying a new one not so long ago, a good idea is to vacuum the dust inside the box especially from the fan on top of the CPU and graphics card if applicable. (Whilst it's unplugged from power source)

what version of windows are you using?

is it a desk top or a laptop or other?

what browser are you using?

are you on NBN or other?

i was having problems a few months ago until i bought a new computer as my old one was running windows XP and firefox. (the microsoft browser started having lots of issues)

since upgrading to windows 10 i use google chrome for most things, i just use 'edge' for youtube.

still get the odd problems though.

usually find switching browsers cures them.

i have 3, edge, chrome and firefox.

Internet speed is ok, no probs with any other site just My Ebay. and Search won't save anything

Using newish Lenovo laptop, Win 10, have rebooted.

Not on NBN

at very bottom of page it says

loading data from adservice.google. com

whatever that means

Think I'll forget it now and try again tomorrow

Just as well I didn't want to bid on anything

Ours has been slow on and off for weeks.

Tried clearing cookies, etc but it made no difference.

It's slower on our main id, a lot quicker on the other 2 which have less listings.

Also, the main id is the only one on which we use seller hub, so maybe that has something to do with the problem.

Edit - we're using windows 10 on an almost 12 month old laptop.

Have just discovered it only affects my laptop.

Tablet no probs.

Myebay is not slow it just won't load, have kept it open for hours.

Happened before the updates came through.

Don't use seller hub.

Could it be a virus?

Looking like a job for Geeks2you. 🤐

Everyone has a spare $200 around chrstmas. Don't they? 😵

Bright, you definitely need an adblocker downloaded.

When you download it, you can use the filters to block this website.

Have you been back to the techie board?

Someone has given some advice there.

Okay, Stawks had a good look and found that I do have Adblock Plus installed on Firefox, so fiddled a bit with the settings, enabled Do Not Track and voila have got MyEbay back. Assume this tacky one adservice.google. com was causing the trouble
