Grabbing a woman's arm and making her shake his hand when she didnt want to do it, was NOT a good look, it's called assault .... If he had done it to me, I would have had him charged with assault. He has NO right to do this to anyone

He also did to one of firies, he got up and walked out in disgust, cant say I blame him

He needs to learn to keep his hands to himself

I was less than impressed at Morrison's reaction to the abuse....he didn't seem to understand how angry people were or why.

I am particularly upset by the deaths of the father and son duo at Cobargo...I have met them a couple of times through a mutual friend.

The whole family are lovely people.

I was under the impression from the media that when he was on holiday in Hawaii he should have been back in Australia helping. I doubt there would be many roles in fire fighting for a current Prime Minister and now it appears hand shaking at the front line can be taken off the list.

It appears being a full time ebay seller is not as hard as some jobs and whoever thought sending him there would be a good idea needs a rethink.

I'm pretty confident in saying I doubt anyone expected Scott Morrison to get his hands

attitude and lack of genuine remorse fails to impress many of those suffering loss. If I

was meeting with someone whom I had never had interaction with previously and I

offerred my hand and they balked at the gesture I sure as heck wouldn't force the

person by grabbing onto their hand. That showed just how out of touch this Prime Minister

is he has much to learn about humanity.

I cant answer that, however, I can tell you that she did NOT take off on holiday to Hawaii while her state/country burned to the ground

I feel you have read my post incorrectly. I was stating that sending him to these areas is a complete waste of time and I wish they would find better ways to manage fires instead of doing the political thing.

The reason I asked if she had been there was the fact many don't have home and contents insurance due to the high cost of the added emergency services fees that are added to them. It was her government that stopped them being removed which would have reduced the cost meaning less people may may be financially ruined. I remeber 20 years ago home insurance was $12 month, petrol was $1 litre, insurance is now minimum of $80 month and fuel is around $1.30 litre.

That does make it tough, especially for those on a limit income ...... I wish fuel was $1.30 a litre here, I paid $1.49 ltr for diesel this morning. It costs me around $15 for a 60 km round trip to do my shopping.

If these events become the norm, all Australians can expect their home insurance premiums to rise significantly. It'll make the so called 'carbon tax' look like small change.

I should have mentioned Rural Fire Service is funded this way and as we know are responsible for fighting bushfires. I can't remember exactly but it maybe as much as 25% of the policy goes to the RFS. Some feel it should be a seperate tax or levy paid another way as other states do as those that can least afford it will live in outer areas more likely to encounter bushfires.

My reply was concerning home insurance and those that may not have had it due to the high cost especially with the extra fees on top. I get the feeling you are talking about something else as he is a she in regard to what I had written and if you read the stories those that suffer are those who live in rural areas.

I have not been going out of my way to follow Gladys's movements too closely but she has certainly not been sitting on her hands.

Every night the TV news shows her at Fire Headquarters for briefings and going up in helicopters to see for herself. And she is not wearing the same clothes so it is not just rehashed footage.

I have relatives in the RFS who are involved in the NSW south coast fires and they have seen her in the area several times whre she has been visiting evacuation centres and been briefed by local authorities.

As I see it, she is being far more productive than Morrison.....I have neer seen her being heckled or abused.
