things were in your world. I guess your girls are out working

by now maybe you are even a Nanna. Have you been back to

Port Macquarie since you left there? Wow that place has grown

new subdivisions popping up everywhere.

Wow... Sorry guys. Life got busy.

We are great. I woke up and divorced abusive husband nearly two years ago. Got over the mid-life crisis and brainwashing.

The girls are amazing. Chloe is a highly sought after skin specialist, aged 21. She is engaged to the most incredible young man (I couldn't write a recipe for a more perfect guy for her. They've been together 5 years. No grandbabies yet. They have their heads screwed on. Getting their carers on track and building a nest egg first. They are both fitness fanatics and entering building and sculpting competitions.
Bree is turning 18. She is doing Childcare and finishes her Cert 4 in a month and then starts early entry Uni in July. She is wanting to work in Child Welfare and Ministry (she's a bigger Churchy McChurchface than I have ever been lol).
My news... I have a beautiful partner of 14 months. Only 4 years younger lol. We own our own home. I have two stepsons (I hate that word) who I couldn't love and adore more even if I'd birthed them myself. 12yo is in First year of highschool, plays football and is just gorgeous (and very close with Bree). 20 year old is 3rd Year Medical Science at Uni but taking 6 month gap to focus on his Tennis ranking (top 200 in Australia). My partner is the kindest, sweetest, most hardworking, honest man I have EVER met.
My WHOLE family (yes I once again am allowed to have them in my life) absolutely love my partner and our boys. Not a single fight between any of us in the 14 months we've been together. The girls love my partner and my mum says if we ever split...they want custody of him, not me lol.
Life is really good... And not just the keeping up appearances type good. Life is easy, drama free, stable, no police on the doorstep, no controlling behavior... Just happy, relaxed, no stress.
I'll say it to save anyone else the trouble... I was stupid, blinded by a sweet-talking, violent narcissist. I did the wrong thing by my baby girls, was going through a mid-life crisis and was general a damned idiot. But I've done two years of seriously hard work to heal and repair the damage. No-one can punish or shame me more than I have done for myself. But we are on the other side of it now... Annnnnnmd we are ALL happy.
Now to see if I can post dome updated pics of my beautiful young women.

doing well after a rough time it proves we as parents do

It is indeed. Totally different life for us now. We've just been gardening and repotting succulents. He's now getting the firepit and pergola set up for Sunday night wind down while I get roast veggies ready to go with his yummy BBQ specialties for dinner.
So how has everyone else been doing?

Life is always wonderful here.

Mum n dad long divorced.

I'm now mum's carer and dad is 90 living with his second wife.

He is still fit so we meet up for lunch twice a week.

We try different restaurants n cafes around Melb and surrounds.

I'm still a SINK (single income no kids) and probably always will be. Too busy wearing many hats.

Might head back to Denmark for a trip this year but depends on work and mum.

As for here on the boards you probably know many were given an indefinite holiday and it's been very quiet compared to before the new boards arrived.

You sound really busy!
I noticed not many of the old regulars around. I was sad to read about Amy's family changes. Although relieved her Mum found peace.
I often wonder about PinkPoodle, Pepe, and a few of the other characters lol. I hope Bob and Valda are well.
I've forgotten so many names.

Tragically Trish was killed in a fatal car accident on 29th April 2020 at Meroo Meadow, NSW
