Think the boards have changed

I just posted a reply to a question in the Answer Centre - Buying that was posted on 23.02.2021 - this question has now moved to the top of the Answer Centre in the new boards format (hope it is not just a Friday glitch)

I was just checking all of the boards and sub-boards with the same thought as you, katistrophik!

It does look as though threads are now sorted according to latest reply/post. That is an improvement.

I would still like to see some threads that have clearly had their day being locked, but I think it's more important to be able to see new replies from posters than to prevent people from posting on old threads. If only those who really have nothing to add to a discussion, or those who aren't actually asking a question, could refrain from bumping old threads when they have nothing pertinent to add...

What about imastawk's dilemma? I hope the buttons and the ellipsis appear for her.

My entire screen went crazy then changed - smaller print and not so in my face - about 8 minutes ago.

I don't want to drag up a real old thread, but I would like to know if there is a cutoff - say threads locked after 5 years or something - I shall go explore..........

The three dots are at the far right of the top options, after the paper clip, if that is what you are referring to? I don't know what device you are using, but do you need to stretch or expand the options so you can see it? I occasionally have to do that with my email app.

The news is all good. I have my 3 dots. YAY

And it seems it was all my own fault - mea culpa

Because I have sight issues, I had my screen on 125% - which is what it's always been, for easy reading.

I notched it back to 110% and

like magic, I have the 3 dots.

Now let's hope and pray that that pic arrives.

Now all we have to overcome is the thread jumping to the last post, instead of having to scroll to the bottom of the page and changing the page number.

woke up to see my fav threads at the top of the pile

yay i said

posted to the caturday thread and it worked (sort of)

couldnt copy n paste the picture

had to save it then copy it from the saved file like the old days

now i try to post to the virus thread and get the 'your flooding the forum message'

two steps forward one step back?

I was up very late bringing your threadds to the top, you owe me! LOL (I actually have a little OCD I think)

With the flooding, just cancel and try again, pretty sure it is a glitch that is not worked out yet.

As US and UK were the guinea pigs I think we have the benefit of hindsite with the developers - changed over on 24/3 and now only 3 days later, a lot of problems ironed out, so not a bad effort.

ive left the 'package' in the usual place wink wink

but the flood message doesnt seem to be going away

fingers crossed eventually i will be able to post new updates to my threads

its the copy and paste of the ABC page addresses that wont work ATM

dont know about other sites
