I first saw her in Samson and Delilah and thought she was stunning. She went on to be a very good and versatile actress.

I remember her very well in two early favourite movies of mine - Gaslight and The Court Jester.

When I looked her up in Wiki I was surprised to read she is related to Malcolm Turnbull (yep the pollie) - he's her second cousin one removed.

She died at the same age as the Queen, although she would have been 97 just a few days later.
