I hate FB with a passion, not even sure what Twitter is exactly but oh my ... I can spend ages on Youtube. But how do I get from BBC History Channel to "cute cats doing funny things?".

I hate it with a passion too cat... a couple of years ago a member from here phoned me and asked if I was in London right now.

She knew I wasn't but someone pretending to be me contacted her through FB and said I was stuck in London after being robbed and could she send $2,000 so I could get home.

She said she would 'have to know where to send it' and shortly after the caller told her a pick up address... then she said she would ring the London police to see if that place was okay!

Needless to say the caller didn't make any more contact, but, as it happened the same group had hit a number of FB members at the same time and some of them had sent money...

It made the Sydney Morning Herald the next day and they were caught, so these types of sites are really not my scene. I do have a FB site but really I don't use it... should shut it down except my up-to-the-minute-thoroughly-modern-miss granddaughter is far more likely to answer me there than in an email... grrrrrr

I've heard about that scam darkside 😞

I feel for the people who were scammed out of their money and worried sick about their loved ones.

I only hate FB because Mr Ex conducted his affair through it. I'm not blaming FB but it certainly provided the perfect environment to hook up with other cheaters.
