Microsoft Excel - anyone???

I have this spreadsheet that I want to convert. It has 30 rows and 95 (wide) columns, so too wide to print out. I want to convert rows to columns and vice versa - does anyone know a quick way to do it? It's a Windows 2000 version so a bit old.

I don't have excel on this computer so can't really tell you or even if it is possible.

(I must write a note to myself to reinstal Office)

You could transfer the data over to a database and then transfer back but changing the rows to columns and columns to rows in the process.

I don't know if you can do it in excel but maybe start a second spreadsheet and transfer each column seperately and copy and paste.

But when you paste you paste across the row instead of down the column.

I can't be any more help because I don't know what you are capable of and what features you have on excel 2000 or even if possible on excel.

All my work was on programmed excel spreadsheets and I have never really just used the spreadsheet as per what is installed on your computer.

More information needed.

Do you want to change the way the data is set out? Would page orientation work?

If the data doesn't need to be moved, will changing the size of the columns and rows work?

advice from my OH ---the excel wizz:

It depends what's on it - if it's just values, highlight the whole thing, copy, open a new sheet and 'paste special'. On the box of options tick the 'transpose' box. If you have formulas, it might be more complicated....
