I believe some carriers will send them via air such as DHL but they require to be freighted within a fireproof container.

But of course China and other Asian businesses don't declare them. (Money is far more important to them)

https://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/safety_concerns_with_li_ion

just a heads up..DONT BUY AFTER MARKET CHINESE KNOCK OFF BATTERIES.. buyers BE aware there are loads of FAKE RYOBI cordless tools batteries on ebay sold by chinese sellers in AU...these are cheap chinese knock offs...most likely applies to other brand tools eg,Milwaukee, dewalt,Makita etc etc....i bought 2x 4 AH (flagpower ryobi battery brand) one started smoking soon as i placed in charger (charger still works on genuine ryobi batts) and the other died within 4 recharges (now tossed out)...my brother bought 2 around the same time and one blew up the charger and the other charger caught on fire...now he is up for 2 new chargers $$$.

very dangerous and should be band from sale.

yes i know should of bought genuine ryobi batts but these were approx half price. i now see why...lesson learnt..

there are also numerous non branded RYOBI power tool batts listed...

i dont do facebook but if others can spread the word would be good..

please be aware they can catch on fire and could cost lives............

I think it is mostly all to do with QC in manufacture.

China implement very little QC.

Electric vans from one of China’s biggest EV makers are catching fire.

Basically lithium batteries can only be sent by road within Australia, and by a specialised carrier if going overseas.

https://auspost.com.au/sending/check-sending-guidelines/dangerous-prohibited-items
