Nobody will take any notice of a report of a possible counterfeit item.

You have to have bought the item and have proof that it is a fake.

You are better off reporting it to the rights holder.

eBay might pay attention to them; they won't to you. Especially if the seller is in China.

Click on the Report item above the item number.

Report category > Copyright and trademark

Reason for report > Counterfeit item or authenticity disclaimer

Detailed reason > Counterfeit, fake, or replica items

Click continue and there should be another box to put in why you believe it's fake/counterfeit.

Then Report.

That just answered the question and I should've just put these at the end for all the good it

would do (but I had an item removed once after I reported it so it did work once).

In reality these days I just gave up as 99.9% of the time it's absolutely pointless.

For example 95% of the Rainbow Rose and associated seed listings are fakes yet they are still allowed to list

to not just scam buyers but possibly endanger the eco system of this country because eBay has no scruples and

simply don't care as long as they get a financial gain out of it.

Rubbish. I've had listings reported and removed which I don't have a problem is provided they tell me what the problem is, which they nevet do. Just that I violated their listing policies or whatever and if I'm a naughty girl and do it again, I'll get suspended. Absolutely nothing fake about the last said item, it had been listed twice, relisted again after a buyer asked to cancel straight after purchase, no issues whatsoever. Then I get this message telling me I'll get suspended blah. The things they leave out in this scary message lol

1. What the item was (you have to go and search to find out which item they've removed)

2. What the problem was

3. Who reported it and why?

I tried to list a Prada bag once that was genuine. Gave up in the end. It kept getting removed yet there were obvious fakes all over the site, so don't tell me they don't respond to reports. They remove listings immediately without any discussion with the seller prior, at least anything with a well known brand name, unless you're Chinese of course. Then you can do whatever you like. EBay have the VerRO program and IT would've been used to remove your listing and it's a completely different

setup to any other report system.

So it would've been reported by Prada.
