topic Not Australian Seller in Buying

Bought an item and paid with PayPal. This item was stated to be located in Sydney and so paid 3 times the price of the same that could have been purchased in China, as I needed it quickly. I noticed when I got PayPal details that the seller payment went to someone with Chinese writing. One month after the latest estimated delivery day date I had not received the item and contacted the courier who said that they had not received the parcel. It appears that this seller is in fact operating from China / Hong Kong and has a holding facility in Sydney and as parcels arrive from China they send them to the courier. Shouldn't Ebay insist such a seller can't claim they are selling from Australia.

It says where the seller is registered on the feedback page, the one you have left the neg for says they are in China

eBay is not going to do anything about sellers registered in China BUT buyers can choose not to buy from them

Much of the information is shown

Does the seller's feedback have a lot of complaints about them sending from China when they claim to post from Australia?

Have you reported them for item location misrepresentation ?

Do their listings say state they are drop shipping?

Have you opened an item INR?

Buyers are given many tools, but they do not work if buyers choose not to use them
