I was really dissappointed but most of all intrigued as to what is going on. The reason given to Ebay for cancelling the transaction by the seller was that the buyer had requested it. I didn't want to have any further commucication with the seller because 1, I'm worried about beng scammed and 2, all the information from them so far has been nonsense. Anyway, thanks for taking an interest.

One of them at least seems to have a vague idea of what it would cost to actually post (the one listed for $12.50 and $5 postage is destined to end with heartache for someone, regardless of what the situation behind them is, since the cheapest it could be posted for is around the $9 mark. Add all other costs to sell / post and they're practically giving it away). The cheaper seller also accepts returns while the more realistic one doesn't.

None of which are clues or contain any great insight, though. If my curiosity was getting the better of me, I'd just message the seller you didn't buy from (i.e.the one with the higher price + postage), and just ask a question, see if they respod, and how.

I'd be wary too, given you have an identical photo of something that is pre-owned and not a stock item at all (so I imagine a one-off type item), being sold by 2 supposedly different sellers, both with zero feedback, different locations although those locations are relatively close to each other.

Which did you try to buy, the cheaper one or the more expensive listing?

The reason is rubbish, I agree, given the listing said it was damaged, but I guess they felt they had to say something.

I'd do what someone else suggested and message the 'second' seller and ask if it is still available as you know it is damaged but you don't mind, you are still interested in buying it. If you do go ahead and buy, just make sure you pay via paypal so you're covered.

Yes, I can understand that. Especially since I think you would be dealing with the same seller or at least the same family. And I'm not sure they have their act together.

UPDATE: I thought I was being generous when I left neutral feedback but the seller asked for a revision. Again communications seemed to be cut-and-paste and not appropriate to the circumstances. As a fellow collector, don't buy. Seriously, don't go there. They are dodgy as. I'm guessing one seller is genuine, and the others have copied the listing, but it's anyone's guess who is the genuine one. If you buy, you will probably be sent a feather or something.

Interesting that the Qld seller has a price of $13 with $5 postage. The minimun postage for that item is $8.95. Tack another few bucks on their price, and they don't stand to gain much.

Don't revise. In fact I am starting to think a neg could have been deserved.

But just don't communicate any more with the person, whoever it is.

Two identical listings (as far as photos go) of an individual, one off type item, in locations very close to each other could possibly be explained by different family members having a go at putting up an ad. But let's have a look at what you have here.

Zero feedback sellers and now a different one popping up in Qld?

I'm with Tippy on this one, avoid like the plague.
