Item Damaged in Transit

Gday

ive purchased a Tool Box came via Aust Post but its been dropped and has been damaged, whats the procedure here is up to me to do the Claim or is the Seller as they Paid for the Postage and have the Original Receipt ?

Hi, have you been in touch with the seller? Are you going to keep the item or send it back? What has seller said to you?

As 4channel has said, you should contact the seller - and you should do so ASAP because if you wait too long they might think you have dropped it.

Usually I think that the seller should refund you and AusPost should compensate them (if it is really their fault and the item was well wrapped).

Yes have been in touch with the Seller, Seller is saying not their problem, so it looks like i have to do the Claim.

Thanx yes im well aware of time frame and no Packaging wasn't sufficient thats why i thort the Sller should do the Claim - anyway will be taking to our PO to sort out, will see what happens from here

Open an Item not as Described with ebay.

If the seller wants it back, they have to pay return postage. They should issue you with a return label.

Do not let the case time out or you will lose.

Do not close the case, until you have a full refund, no matter what the seller says - you can't re-open it.

If there's no response from the seller - ask ebay to step in as soon as it allows.

will try PO see if they can help first as you can clearly see its been dropped on the corner, if they don't will Open ebay Claim as the Seller doesn't want to know

If you can, take photos of the packaging / damage to upload into the dispute.

Take the packging to the PO when you go....they will inspect it at the very least and may keep it for further investigation.

Unfortunately i'm Rural WA and the PO here is a Licenced Shop they can't do any Claims - All good tho i rang Aust Post they have Opened a Claim and its in the Process and even better Seller has contacted us since and if the Claim thru the Post Office is rejected they will come to the Party - so at this stage its looking ok to be sorted.
