i had a parcel sent the order was for 2 ryobi batteries but only i was sent and the wrong size the order was for 2 x 18 volts at 6.0Ah not at $39.99 not 1 battery at 5.0Ah order number 01-08057-68390 item id 294492544254 i would like this to be rectified please also i have replied to a email that was sent

You need to contact the seller you bought from

This is a member to member forum, nobody here can rectify this for you

Who did you send the email to? the seller or to eBay?

The seller you bought from is in China with questionable feedback, I doubt the batteries are genuine

Are you certain you made the correct selection from the drop down menu?

Yes, as Sandy said you first have to contact the seller, and if the seller is unresponsive you can open a case for INAD (item not as described).

The seller is registered in China, which makes sending back the wrong item more difficult, unfortunately. His feedback is not good either.

You are not the only one who was sent the wrong item and the wrong quantity by that seller... Did you have a look at the seller's feedback before buying?

They are definitely NOT genuine Ryobi batteries - the giveaway is in the "For Ryobi" in the listing title - use at your own peril.

First double check that you selected the right items.

If they are definitely wrong, then you can open a case for Not as Described. Some sellers will promise to send the "right" items if you just wait, but do not do that as they will put you off from opening a case in the time frame allowed.

If the seller is in China, they cannot issue you with a postage label for a return so they have two choices.

1) If they want the item back, they need to send you the postage costs upfront. Never be out of pocket for returning an item that is not correct.

2) Since I doubt they would want the item back, they will need to refund you.

Not sure if I would trust brand name product from a random Chinese supplier though - probably a poor quality knock off. Rather buy local and support our businesses here - at least you will get a warranty!

eBay could do a better job of explaining to new members to the boards how the community works & how to find their way back to read replies... jmo

I'm quite sure that members sit back & expect an email in reply to their questions.

I haven't looked at your feedback or what you have bought etc but I have confidence in the other people here who have replied to you and it sounds as if you bought batteries from China. Never a good idea.

You're lucky because if they sent the wrong ones, you can (and should) apply to ebay for a refund on the basis these are not as described, you have been sent the wrong thing. Take a photo if need be.

Don't listen to anything the seller may say, such as he will be sending the right ones immediately if you close the case etc

Proceed, finalise, get the refund.

Then buy from an Australian shop.

i have contacted this seller many time and they are not understanding that they are wrong with all off there replies it is not fair what they are doing to there buyers as the need a stern talking to as i have but they must like ripping buyers off if they dont want to get this right may ebay can help to get this right hope that you can help

As explained already, we are all just buyers and sellers like you

You need to avoid buying such items from sellers in China with terrible feedback, especailly with items like this that are fakes, and potentially dangerous

Buyers cannot get ripped off if they use the tools provided by eBay

Did you open an item not as described dispute yet?

If you are out of time to do so through eBay, you have 180 days to do so with PayPal

Do not close any dispute if the seller tells you to

Do not close any dispute if the seller says you have to before they can help/refund/replace (that is a lie)

Do not open an eBay dispute AND a Paypal dispute together at the same time as they will then cancel each other out
